Auditions: “Moon Over Buffalo”

Director John Prescod will be holding auditions for Ken Ludwig’s madcap backstage farce MOON OVER BUFFALO, November 5th and 6th at 7PM at the historic Footlighters Theater in Berwyn, PA.

Seeking 8 actors (4m, 4f) who love comedy! Rehearsals will be physical, intense, and painfully funny.

CHARACTERS:
George Hay (40-65), a washed-up, arrogant, slightly alcoholic actor who gets the chance of a lifetime
Charlotte Hay (40-65), his co-star and wife. Diva is an understatement.
Rosalind Hay (20-30), their beautiful daughter, cracking under the pressure
Ethel (70-103), Charlotte’s mother, not a fan of George, nor of her hearing aid
Paul Singer (25-35), the glue that holds the theater together, smitten with Rosalind
Howard (20-40), Rosalind’s handsome weatherman fiancee. Earnest, naive, with a heartbreaking st-st-stutter
Richard Maynard (50-70), agent to the stars, Charlotte’s “close acquaintance”, stiff as his starched collars
Eileen (18-25), an actress, George’s one-night stand (and who could blame him?)

Please prepare a monologue under 2 minutes. Sides will also be provided. MOON OVER BUFFALO runs March 15-30. Please contact John Prescod at johnprescod1@gmail.com to reserve a spot or with any questions!
